1.2. Campaign Blurb/Other
You will be joining a guild–a prestigious one (NPCs in this world have npc roles, I refuse to believe everyone is a badass, got a problem with it you can @me but I will ignore it) that you have already auditioned for. It is not just mercenary work, it's all kinds of work. Who you are is up to you; are you running away from something? Are you hoping to start a new life? Are you just bored?
Details to add:
- Dueling happens a lot
- The land up north wants to take the Island for its holy sites.
- The land south is fended off by mercenaries and a holy order.
- 5 years is required before you don’t need to be in a guild. You will be in a guild and take missions. It will be drop in and drop out with a series of backstory and mission stories with an overarching plot that unfolds by your actions.
- People think it's kinda weird to wear full armor in cities
- Most guilds aren't as "total" as the Blue Flame; many guild members are day-workers who come by when they need work
- Magical beasts on the island are more dangerous than elsewhere
1.3. Important Locations
1.3.1. Telon Island
Telon [Island] is the only place safe for all magic users, the other nations allow their magicians to stay but they need to pay a steep tax to continue their practices.
The island is home to holy relics and sacred sites; rumor has it that Gods themselves formed the island out of their blood.
The island has become a place for guilds between two warring nations on the west and east sides. At first, they tried to capture the island but now they just hire them to fend off the other side.
Telon is a place where war is all around, but it never truly affects the island itself. The island just profits from it; to be a citizen at Telon is to be a part of a guild for five years before being allowed to be a part of any government function (rome rules).
However, while war may not be happening, reputation means everything. Duels of honor, magic duels, trials and tribulations for fame and fortune.
Telon is a place of knowledge, learning, honor, holy sites, and work.
- Island was discovered/created(?) around 500 years ago
- There are legends that go back further than that; some people theorize that the island disappears and reappears every thousand years or so

- East Slums are mostly made of ppl who didn't join any guild
- Ppl who don't join a guild are second-class citizens; people who start a guild stint and then abandon it are banished from the island
- Ppl who don't join a guild are second-class citizens; people who start a guild stint and then abandon it are banished from the island
- Guild City was founded where it was because of natural healing springs that are redirected into the wells; they instantly clean themselves and heal people who drink from them
- No death sentence in Guild City; indentured servitude is the more typical punishment
- The Old Ward is the scholars' section, and contains the Polsia, the great library that houses the guild named after it.
- Lightbrigher Way is the shops district, and uses its access to the river to receive and send goods; mostly destroyed by the great wave
- New Stark is the merchants' residential district; sort of the middle class area
- Western Monarch is the noble district
- The Misty Docks were largely destroyed in the great wave, but are being swiftly rebuilt

2.21. Downtime… 2!!!
I will say this: this next session will be a six month jump, I don’t care for how long downtime takes so I think we can spend the week kind of planning what y’all do during that time. Guild City will be safe again, you will not get parades but the councilmen will probably thank you. ((I don’t know what that means yet)) the guild city will be in a time of political renewal and uncertainty; because of wallers manifesto the city’s printing press will be going back and forth about ideas at all times. The new discussion is making a commoner class (plebeian inspired) for those being born on the island. The discussion involves people being born on the island becomes a commoner class, and therefore forego the need for guild and instead get their own class and rank in the city and vote.
Also due to the inspiration of political and change, more commoners are getting into art. Experimental paintings are being placed along the buildings, certain guild houses are becoming art sanctuaries. Poetry becomes the main form of entertainment and expression in coffee shops and bars, and I bet at least one poet will be banned from certain districts because she made everyone March around chanting something about “more money, more votes, and less poisoned antidotes” you had to be there for it to really make sense
((Commoners here not meaning the plebeian class thing happened and more like: art is no longer for the rich only))
THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED IN THE SIX MONTHS: (you can or cannot be a part of this)
- Balthazar and his people were forced to wait out the city for a week and the council took that long to decide what to do. Many from the Library of Polsia and Many of the blue Flame guild went against the council’s will to supply food, water, and aid during this time. After a week, the council let them in.
- The party helps out with the relief effort
- The party helps out with the relief effort
- GOLA THE WOULD-BE MUGGER, has opened a restaurant. It has been getting decent reviews and Gola has a framed painting of Duncan on the wall.
- Due to council inaction, the people started wondering if the council needs to have more than five people leading–discussions about guild leaders getting a vote. Han is hesitant about this because he doesn’t want to be political. He has asked every person in the guild their opinion on this and he weighs them all.
- He asks each member individually
- Duncan, Evan, Guiomar, and Tytori broadly agree that we should go for it; Biri doesn't really understand local politics
- Duncan, Evan, Guiomar, and Tytori broadly agree that we should go for it; Biri doesn't really understand local politics
- He asks each member individually
- The people who were born in this city and this island deserve a vote! A budding class is being argued for. Should there be a rank for people born here? Would it bypass the guild system? Should they get a council member too?
- Evan was commissioned to write a play by Gendry. @Evan what does it look like?
- Her works become more political
- Her works become more political

- Zageth becomes one of the main voices for the underground press. He is hiding it…poorly. Guiomar would def know because he helps keep the presses running.
- Jacque and Sarah (the teleporting Tiefling-nightcrawler ripoff-) started dating and they kept getting caught in random places canoodling. Most people have asked them to stop.
- Biri ends up breaking them up with a Suggestion spell and charitable work
