Background
- Sidney is hired to guard the judge by Rudy Marsh, JJ's friend; JJ volunteers because the man to be hanged is his brother's killer

Scoping the Vantage Points
- JJ checks out the Cosmopolitan hotel; business is… not great. Nor is the proprietor.
